Magic Johnson Converse Varsity Jacket Mens LG. LAKERS Purple And Gold RARE
From the info that I've been able to find on this very rare and hard to find jacket is that it's from the 1980s. The purple on the jacket is nylon and is has very high quality yellow ostrich leather sleeves and detailing.
There is a leather star on the front right chest with "Magic" embroidery on top of that. The same star can be seen on the back as well. On the upper right shoulder is a faint signature that says Magic Johnson. I have not had the signature verified but it does look very similar to other Magic signatures I have seen and would make sense as a location he would have signed if someone was wearing the jacket at the time of the signature.
I cannot verify the authenticity of the signature, but it is my non-professional opinion that it is likely to be legitimate based on the research I have done. For its age it is in decent condition. I tried to provide as many photos as possible. But I believe it's still very wearable. There is some staining on the yellow ostrich leather sleeves. This likely could be cleaned to look nearly new in my opinion. I have not came across another one of these jackets in quite a bit of research about it. This is a great collectible for any Lakers fan.
